New NRA EXCO celebrated by Akwa Ibom Referees Council, others
Following their successful election and inauguration, the new Nigeria Referees Association – NRA Exco has received congratulatory messages from the Akwa Ibom State Referees Council and other council’s.
Recall that Alhaji Sani Zubairu (FIFA Rtd) emerged as President of Nigeria Referees Association at the elective congress in Kwara State on Saturday April 29, 2023.
Immediate past Publicity Secretary of the Referees body Kelechi Mejuobi was elected as Deputy President while Suleiman Omeiza returned for a second term as Secretary General.
Elections into other Executive Committee offices were also conducted with all elected officers immediately sworn into office.
In their congratulatory message signed by the Council Chairman Elder Joseph Bassey and published by its Public Relations Officer Nsikakabasi Akpan ,the Akwa Ibom State Referees Council affirmed the credibility of Saturday’s NRA elective congress while expressing optimism and faith in the Sani Zubairu led EXCO to lead the Referees Association to greater heights.

We are indeed very delighted to identify with and congratulate our amiable newly elected President Alhaji Sani Zubairu ( FIFA Rtd ) and members of the Executive Committee on their victory at Saturday’s elective congress.
It is our believe that as products of a credible election as witnessed at the Bovina Hotels, Kwara State, this administration will lead our noble Association to greater heights.
