Arokodare’s goal, assisted by fellow Nigerian Collins Sor, came shortly after the hour mark and offered a glimmer of hope. However, OH Leuven sealed their victory with a third goal five minutes before the end of the match.
The result sparked frustration among Genk supporters, who expressed their discontent on social media. Some fans have called for changes within the squad, including potentially offloading players like Arokodare and Alieu Fadera from Gambia.
One fan commented, “What a shameless game by Genk. Players like Tolu and Fadera don’t belong in the team. Give them away for free and buy decent strikers.”
