Nigeria’s Kizz Daniel set for headline performance at FIFA World Cup

Nigerian music star Kizz Daniel has been named among the stars set to light up the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar with a live performance. The musician will perform at the FIFA Fan Festival in Doha, Qatar, during the tournament.

Kizz Daniel, one of Nigeria’s biggest music exports of 2022, has tasted great success on the global stage. His hit single “Buga” has earned rave reviews at home and abroad and became a sort of anthem for Nigerian athletes all over the globe. The song was blasted from the Public Address system of stadia whenever Nigeria’s U-17 and U-20 women’s teams scored a goal at their respective FIFA World Cup tournaments in India and Costa Rica, respectively.

Kizz Daniel also released the single “Cough” more recently, and the song has gained widespread approval globally. It was the song that Nigerian and German U-17 girls danced to after their third-place match at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The talented musician will take the stage on November 23rd, four days after the tournament kicks off in Doha. He has expressed his delight at the opportunity, referring to it as a dream of his.

“When you have a dream, you’ve got to grab it and never let go. Let’s all dream together at the FIFA Fan Festival in Doha and make it a once-in-a-lifetime experience!” Kizz Daniel remarked after the announcement was made.

With Nigeria’s Super Eagles failing to make the showpiece, Nigerians can have a form of consolation that two entertainers Davido and Kizz Daniel have flown the country’s flag in Qatar.
