J Atete Fc hosted Ibom Youths Fc on Matchday Three of the 2021/2022 Nigerian National league season. Kickoff was delayed for thirteen minutes due to the abscence of security operatives at the Utu Jeremy stadium , Ughelli, Delta state Venue for the match.

At exactly 4:13 pm , Midfielder Ndifreke John of Ibom Youths Fc took the kickoff. Both sides shared equal spells of possession In the opening quarter but it was Ibom Youths Fc who had the best chances through Damilola Salami and Gift Henshaw.

In the 39th minute, Ibom Youths Fc opened the scoring. Wisdom Ndon threaded a pass to Nicholas Joseph, the left back controlled the ball perfectly before unleashing a bullet shot from 30yards to beat the home team goalie for the only goal of the first half.

J Atete Fc began the second half like a house on fire pouring men forward in search of an equalizer. After 9 minutes of sustained pressure , the hosts finally breached the Ibom Youths Fc backline in the 54th minute when Godstime Edewor headed home from close range to level scores at 1-1.

That was the first goal conceded by Ibom Youths Fc this season. Ibom Youths Fc were restricted to a single chance for the rest of the match with Dauda Umar Musa Reza’s 77th minute effort flying over the crossbar.

A disciplined defensive performance by the Wisdom Ndon and Franklin Chinedu marshalled Ibom Youths Fc defense line repelled all attempts by the Homers.to Ibom Youths Fc left the Utu Jeremy stadium Ughelli with a preserved unbeaten start to the season as it finished J Atete 1-1 Ibom Youths Fc.

Ibom Youth Fc will next face Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium. Both teams are level on 5 points and are yet to taste defeat in the league this season
