Nordic Football Academy Nigeria has announced the transfer of striker Osita Amadi to Swedish club FC Stockholm SPORTSRATION reports.
In a statement on its official social media handles on Tuesday May 30, 2023, Nordic Academy said the 19-year old striker has joined his new teammates in Sweden following the transfer.
Before his transfer, Osita Amadi captained the Academy to a fourth place finish in group D1 of the 2023 Nigeria Nationwide League One – NLO Season .

” Osita led the team with the captain’s armband and with his goals. Despite his young age, he has 23 appearances for Nordic Academy, scoring 13 times and 8 assists.
” The 19-year-old captained the club to a fourth-place finish in the just concluded Nationwide League One.” the Academy announced.
In reaction to the transfer, founders of the Academy Karl Hugo and Kingsley Amunike expressed delight over the development and relayed their plan to become a leading Academy for talent discovery.
Karl said “We wanted to provide a platform like this to young talents in Nigeria and I am happy the likes of Osita are excelling under our roof.”
Co-founder Kingsley Amunike added: “The talents in the academy give us the belief that we are on the right track. Osita is leading the way as he was on the pitch for Nordic Academy, and others are joining him.
“This is the pathway for young Nigerians. Football is imploding in Africa and we are well-positioned to take advantage and be the leading academy for talent discovery.”
Team manager of Nordic Academy Nigeria Obot Boniface was full of praise for the academy’s latest export Osita Amadi, hailing his exceptional qualities on and off the field.
He said “I am very proud of Osita. He has distinguished himself as an exceptional footballer on and off the pitch. I know he will excel in Sweden because he has all the qualities.
“This move is a testament that Nordic Academy is the right platform for talent discovery and development in Nigeria. We have good young talents in the team and hopefully, they will get their chances too.”
