NPFL Match Day 10 Review: Away win for unbeaten Abia Warriors as IfeanyiUbah FC top the log
We witnessed a spectacular over head kick from Imenger, Dele Olorundare and Sunday Adetunji scored braces for their clubs but Abia Warriors beating Akwa United at the Goodswill Akpabio International Stadium was the major highlight from the games played in the NPFL match day 10.

Ebong Kufre scored for Akwa United in 11th minutes after Abia Warriors goalkeeper, Anozie spilled Isaac Emeka’s freekick. 25 minutes after Akwa’s goal, Ndifreke Effiong equalized for Abia Warriors when he scored from Amaefule’s cross.
Anthony Okemmiri gave the visitors the lead, his goal was assisted by Ndifreke who scored the first for the away team. Abia Warriors keeper Anozie kept his side in game with wonderful saves to ensure Kenedy Boboye’s side remained unbeaten after 9 games and snatch the maximum 3 points away from home.
In Lokoja at Confluence Stadium, Ismaila Gata put the host ahead from the spot kick before Dele Olorundare also scored from the spot kick for Sunshine United. Olorundare ‘nodded’ the away team ahead in 47th minutes. On the 71st minutes Tasun Lawal scored form the spot to equalize for the host.
In Ibadan at Lekan Salami stadium, Shooting Stars were too good for Ikorudu United as Sunday Adetunji’s brace secured all the points for the Oluyole Warriors.
Nonso Okonkwo 66th minutes strike gave Rivers United 1-0 victory over El-Kanemi at Liberation Stadium in Port Harcourt.
At Aper Aku Stadium, Godwin Obaje stunned the hosts as he put Wikki ahead away from home but a spectacular overhead kick from Imenger earned Lobi a point in fornt of their own crowd.
FC Ifeanyiubah moved to the summit of the Nigeria Professional Football League after a hard-earned 2-0 victory over newly promoted Plateau United in Nnewi on Wednesday. Goals from Pascal Seka and Tamen Medrano secured the points for the Anambra Warriors.
At the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos, Giwa FC recorded their first Nigeria Professional Football League victory over Kano Pillars FC following a 2-0 win courtesy of David Sunday’s opener in the 22nd minute and a Zikiye Jonathan own goal in the second half.
At the Agege stadium, it ended 1-1 thanks to Obinna Nwobodo’s angled shot in the 36th minute for Rangers and Stephen Odey’s volleyed leveller in the 68 minutes for MFM FC.
