#NPFL22 Matchday 4 review: Pillars finally win as Rangers hammer Tornadoes

Finidi George's Enyimba beaten again

Kano Pillars finally got their first win of the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League campaign on Sunday.

Rangers were also in top form hammering visiting Niger Tornadoes in Enugu.

Here is the recap of all that happened across the federation on matchday 4

1. Kano Pillars 2-0 Enyimba

Kano finally get their first win of the campaign courtesy their 2-0 win against Finidi George’s Enyimba.

Veteran Rabiu Ali scored from the spot in the 45th to put Pillars up and Kokoette Udoh completed the 2-0 win with his 60th minute strike.

The win which is Pillars first after four attempts handed Enyimba and Finidi George their second defeat in row.

2. Rivers United 0-0 Sunshine Stars

It ended goalless in Port Harcourt as visiting Sunshine Stars continue the search for their first win while their hosts secured their second draw in four games.

3. Wikki Tourists 3-0 MFM

Goals from Nelson Abiam, Isah Usma and Sale Ibrahim in the 7th, 45th, and 60th minutes respectively gave Wikki the home win.

4. Rangers 4-0 Tornadoes

Kenechukwu Agu was the hero as Rangers hammer Niger Tornadoes in Enugu. He scored two goals in the 58th and 71st minutes, Shedrack Asiegbu and Christian Nnaji scored in the 73rd and 90th minutes to complete the rout.

5. Plateau Utd 3-0 Heartland

Jesse Akila, Chimezie Izuchukwu, and Mohammed Zulkifilu, scored in the 17th, 47th and 73rd minutes respectively to hand Plateau United their second win of the campaign.

6. Dakkada 1-1 Remo Stars

Remo United maintained their place at the top of the table after securing a 1-1 draw in Uyo. Muritala Lawal 12th minutes strike puts the hosts in front but Samuel Anakwe restored parity in the 42nd minutes of the game.

7. Nasarawa United 2-0 Akwa United

Michael Tochukwu and Silas Nwankwo goals in the 53rd and 83rd minutes handed the Solid Miners their first win of the campaign after previously playing three draws.

It was Akwa United’s first defeat of the campaign.

8. 3SC 1-0 Katsina United

Wasiu Alalade scored the only goal of the game in the 62nd minutes of the game to bring something to cheer to Ibadan following the death and burial of Oba Saliu Adetunji the 41st Olubadan.

9. Abia Warriors 1-1 Kwara United

Godwin Obaje 1st minute strike handed Warriors the lead but they were pegged back in the 87th minute through Adebambo Ademola.

10. Gombe United 3-0 Lobi Stars

Abdulazeez Yusuf scored a brace and Endurance Ebedebiri scored an own goal to hand Gombe a comfortable 3-0 win against Lobi Stars.

Abdulazeez Yusuf scored his goals in the 51st, and 71st minutes while Endurance Ebedebiri put the ball into his own net in the 57th minutes.
