Nwakali, Olayinka to start – How Nigeria could line up v Guinea-Bissau

Coach Augustine Eguavoen may have given a hint into what Nigeria’s starting XI would look when they face Guinea-Bissau in the last group D game on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have secured a top spot in group D and qualified for the next round but still would love to finish the group strongly.

Having qualified for the next round it is expected of the team to rest some first players for players on the bench.

While coach Eguavoen has promised to feature a strong team against Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau, we could see fans favourite Kelechi Nwakali and Peter Olayinka in the starting XI.

According to reports from Eagles camp in Cameroon, Francis Uzoho might come in for ladies favourites Maduka Okoye.

Tyrone Ebuehi for Ola Aina, Jamilu Collins for Sanusi Zaidu, Kelechi Nwakali for Joe Aribo, Chidera Ejuke for Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi for Samuel Chukwueze and Peter Olayinka for Taiwo Awoniyi.

Joe Aribo, Ahmed Musa and Moses Simon were also reportedly involved with the preferred line up.

Francis Uzoho – Tyrone Ebuehi, William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi, Jamilu Collins – Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Nwakali, Kelchi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi, Chidera Ejuke, and Peter Olayinka.

Ahmed Musa, Joe Aribo, Moses Simon were the players who were also reportedly involved.

Nigeria will play Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday 8pm Nigerian time at the Stade Roumde Adjia.
