OFFICIAL: Emmanuel Dennis returns to Watford FC
Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Emmanuel Dennis has returned to Watford F.C. on loan after his stay with Turkish Club, Istanbul Basaksehir was cut short.
27-year old Dennis, left Nottingham Forest on loan last summer after failing to nail down shirt, with then manager Steve Copper preferring other options in attack like Chris Wood, Divock Origi, Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
In search of playing time, the Nigerian international signed for Turkish club, Istanbul Basaksehir on a season-long loan , but that move as well did not go as planned and so the forward has returned to England.
In his time in Turkey, Dennis played eight games, with half of the number off the bench as he failed to score or assist in Basaksehir colours as they struggled for form in the league..

According to multiple sources, Emmanuel Dennis has taken a 70% pay cut to return to rejoin Watford FC and is expected to be a key figure in the club’s promotion push.
Watford FC are currently ranked 9th in the English Championship table, three points below the play-off spots and with a good chance.
The returning forward is expected to feature when Watford FC take-on third-placed Southampton on Sunday, January 28, 2024.
