Ola Aina gets impressive stat in Nottingham Forest win over Manchester United
Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina, played a key role in Nottingham Forest’s stunning 3-2 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford. This win marked Forest’s first at the iconic stadium in 30 years.
Aina delivered a strong performance both in defense and attack. He completed three dribbles, the most on the pitch, and maintained an 80% passing accuracy. He also made one key pass, created one chance, and was perfect with his crosses. Defensively, Aina contributed with two interceptions and eight recoveries.
His efforts helped Nottingham Forest move up to fifth place in the Premier League standings.
Forest took an early lead when Nikola Milenkovic scored from a corner in the second minute. Although Manchester United equalized through Rasmus Hojlund, mistakes from United’s defense allowed Forest to pull ahead 3-1 with goals from Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Woods. Bruno Fernandes pulled one back for United, but it wasn’t enough to stop Aina and his teammates from securing all three points.
Aina’s solid display was crucial in Forest’s historic win, as they ended a 30-year wait for a victory at Old Trafford.
