Omeruo trusts Peseiro for winning strategy against Cameroon

Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Kenneth Omeruo is relying on head coach Jose Peseiro to devise a winning strategy against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.

The Round of 16 clash between the two teams is scheduled for Saturday, January 27, 2024 at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

The Super Eagles, who have shown versatility by playing a 3-4-3 formation in their last two games against Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea-Bissau, have separately expressed confidence in their preparation.

Omeruo said ” We are focused on our preparation. We believe in the coach to provide us with the right tactics to beat them.”

Reflecting on their readiness to face any opponent, Omeruo emphasized the importance of sticking to their game plan and working hard on the pitch.

“We are confident, after the last game, we resolved that we are ready to face any opponent. We just have to stick to our game plan and work hard on the pitch.”

The highly anticipated encounter is set to kick off at 9pm Nigerian time and is one of eight 2023 Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 matches .
