Osimhen advised me to join AC Milan – Samuel Chukwueze reveals
Nigerian winger Samuel Chuwkueze has revealed Italy based compatriot Victor Osimhen advised him to join his new club AC Milan.
Close friends Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen will play in the same league this season after the former completed his move to AC Milan on Thursday July 27.
In his first interview as a Milan player, Chukwueze said Victor Osimhen who plays for current Italian Serie A champions Napoli, told him to accept to join rivals AC Milan.
“The last time we spoke he said to me: “Samuel, Milan is a beautiful club, one of the best clubs, don’t hesitate to sign with them. They are fantastic, they have wonderful fans.” Chukwueze told Milan TV.
“I asked him to tell me more about it, how it feels to play against them, and he told me that the Rossoneri fans are incredible, they are crazy about football.
No problem, I replied: “I hope you know that I will beat you (laughs, ed)”. He told me “We’ll see.” AC Milan’s new jersey number 21 said of his interaction with 2022/2023 Italian Serie A top-scorer Osimhen.
Both players have been close friends since their Nigeria U-17 days and are now regulars for the Super Eagles.
In the 2023/2024 season, they will go head to head in chase of silverware for their respective clubs.
