Osimhen Scores Twice as Galatasaray Beat Fenerbahce

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen scored twice in the first half to help Galatasaray defeat Fenerbahce 2-1 in their Turkish league clash at Rams Park.

Osimhen opened the scoring in the 29th minute, finishing a move set up by Baris Alper Yilmaz to give the home side the lead.

The Super Eagles striker doubled Galatasaray’s advantage in the 44th minute after receiving an assist from Davinson Sanchez, sending his team into the break with a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Fenerbahce reduced the deficit in the 62nd minute through Irfan Can Kahveci, who scored after an assist from Oguz Aydin.

Despite Fenerbahce’s efforts to find an equaliser, Galatasaray held on to secure a 2-1 victory.

Osimhen was substituted in the 88th minute, with Wilfried Singo coming on as his replacement.

The brace further highlighted the Nigerian striker’s importance to Galatasaray, following his impressive 2024/25 campaign in which he scored 37 goals in all competitions.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray permanently from Italian club Napoli in 2025 after an impressive loan spell.

The victory adds another chapter to the fierce rivalry between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, two of Turkey’s biggest football clubs.
