Ozil delighted to meet childhood idol Okocha

Mezut Ozil has expressed his happiness at meeting Austin Okocha who was one of his childhood idols.

The former Arsenal star took to his social media page to tell the world that he met his childhood hero.

Mezut Ozil is another high profile German footballer or coach who has come out to talk about the Nigerian.

Former Bayern and German great Mario Gomez explained how his dream was to be like Austin Okocha.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp also mentioned the Nigerian as one of the greatest stars in German football in the 90s.

He even picked his goal against Oliver Khan as the best in German football history.

“What an honour to meet one of my childhood idols: Jay Jay Okocha 🇳🇬🔟💛💙 It’s been great talking to you my friend,” writes Ozil.

Like Okocha did in 1996-1998, Ozil currently playing for Turkish giants Fenebahce.
