Paul Onuachu scores two to help KRC Genk beat KV Kotrijk
Paul Onuachu scored a brace to help KRC Genk beat KV Kortrijk 2-1 in a Belgian top-flight game on Saturday.
After enduring a frustrating run without a goal, Paul Onuachu was on target last week to help Genk win 2-1 at Oostende.
Today, he scored both goals as Genk secured a home win against spirited Kortrijk.
Paul Onuachu scored the first goal of the game in the 37th minute after pouncing on freekick from Tresor Ndayishimiye.
The goal was the only thing separating both teams going into the halftime break.
Faiz Selemani equalized for the visitors in the 58th minute with a superb freekick, but Paul Onuachu came to Genk’s rescue as he score the winning goal from the spot kick.
Paul Onuachu’s goal came in the 79th minute.
It was Onuachu’s third league goal of the season, and three in two successive games.
2nd place Genk will look for their 10th win of the season when they travel to face OH Leuven at Den Dreef stadium next Saturday.
