Pep gives details of chat with football idol Zidane after City-Madrid UCL clash

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has given the details of his chat with Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane after their Champions League second leg clash on Friday.

A 2-1 second leg win for Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium secured a 4-2 aggregate win and a place in the last eight for Pep Guardiola and his boys.

While marking the end of the journey for Zinedine Zidane and Madrid who were looking to do a League and Champions League double.

At the end of the game both managers were seen talking to each other and Pep Guardiola has said the details of his chat with Zinedine Zidane who was one of his football idols.

“I congratulated him for La Liga. I always said to win the league is the most difficult title because it shows 11 months being there.

We spoke about our families and I wished him all the best. He was one of my idols when I was a player.”
