Peter Olayinka scores in Slavia Praha comeback win over Viktoria Plzeñ

Nigerian striker Peter Olayinka scored the equalizing goal to inspire Slavia Praha to a comeback win over Viktoria Plzeñ in the Czech Republic Fortuna Liga.

It was Viktoria Plzeñ who led at the break courtesy of Tomas Chory’s early strike at the Fortuna Arena.

Olayinka did level scores with a goal in the 50th minute to cancel fears of a second straight loss for title chasing Slavia Praha.

That was his 8th league goal of the season and 9th in all competitions from 17 appearances at Slavia Praha .

With the clock ticking away, Praha dominated proceedings in the top of the table clash and got due reward in the 75th minute when Ondrej Lingr scored the winner.

The results takes to top-spot in the league. Slavia Praha leapfrog Slavia Prague, Olayinka’s team have garnered 53 points from 23 games to better Prague’s 51 points from the same number of games.

Viktoria Plzeñ occupy third spot with 49-points, four less than Slavia Praha with seven games to the end of the season.
