Red-hot Iwobi Scores Brace As Super Eagles Trash Plateau Utd
In preparation for the all important Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier against the Chpolopolo of Zambia this Sunday, the Super Eagles yesterday defeated Nigeria Premier League side, Plateau United 3-0.
Belgian based Elderson Esiti drew the first blood in the 39th minute of the encounter with a low drive that hit the post before sliding into the net.
Before now the team that was captained by Leicester City of England striker, Ahmed Musa was fully contained by the Jos based side even to the admiration of the fans who were sympathetic to them.
The combination of Kelechi Ihenacho and Arsenal sensation, Alex Iwobi was a handful of trouble for the Plateau boys who conceded another goal scored by Iwobi.
But just as everybody thought that the game was not going to produce another goal, Iwobi again got the third goal just before the end of proceedings.
