Remo Stars’ Fatai Osho blames MFM FC defeat on Stephen Odey

Remo Stars head coach Fatai Osho has blamed his side’s Nigeria Professional Football League Matchday 11 defeeat against MFM FC on Stephen Odey’s 21st-minute strike.

The Sagamu-based club continued to be winless having failed to win a game since their 2-0 victory over Elkanemi Warriors on match day 5.

The teams from the South-West faced each other for the first time in the Nigeria Professional Football League yesterday but Remo Stars failed to shine as Olukoya boys took the day thanks to Odey’s 7th goal of the season, and coach Osho has said there was no way back into the game for his boys following the early goal.

“We came with a game-plan but that penalty conceded early made if difficult for us to recover.”

Up next for the Remo Stars is a visit to below par FC Ifeanyiubah in Nnewi.
