Report: Jose Mourinho set to bring two Arsenal stars to Manchester United

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is keen on signing Arsenal duo Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer.

The Portuguese boss is keen to strengthen his squad with three or four top class additions this summer and he’ll be handed a £150million budget to do so.

The 54-year-old described Mesut Ozil as the best no.10 in the world during his time with Real Madrid and he’s keen on working with the German again at Old Trafford.

Ozil, 28, has 14 months to run on his current deal at the Emirates and the German’s contract negotiations with the Gunners are at a standstill after he rejected an offer of £200,000-a-week.

The Germany international wants clarification on Arsene Wenger’s future at the club before making his decision and he would be open to working with Mourinho again.

Mourinho remains a firm admirer of Ozil’s team-mate, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and the England international finds himself in a similar situation at the Emirates with time running out on his deal.

The 23-year-old wants regular first-team football and Mourinho tried to sign the winger as part of an exchange deal when Petr Cech moved to the Gunners in 2015.

According to Goal, Mourinho’s monitoring the situation of both players and will make a move for the pair should their contract talks continue to drag.
