#Deadlineday: Inter ready to sell Icardi for £19m
Inter Milan striker and captain Mauro Icardi is being touted around by his club. The Milan giant are ready to part way with their prized asset if their £19million valuation is met Sport Mediaset reports.
Last year’s Capocannoniere was dropped by Roberto Mancini last night for the Milan derby – before coming off the bench to miss a penalty in Inter’s 3-0 defeat.
Icardi who was previously linked with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United has been handed the captain’s armband this season, but despite eight goals in 19 league games, is being somewhat pushed to the side by Mancini as he evolves his side.
Mancini has already signed Sampdoria’s Italian international Eder as a replacement, and is increasingly becoming reliant on Adem Ljajic and Stevan Jovetic in forward areas; Icardi’s presence as an outright No.9 is said to be at odds with what he wants his side to become, more fluid in attack.
Could a shock Premier League move be in the offing?
