Revealed: Kai Havertz to cost Chelsea £72m plus add-on not £92m
Chelsea are just an official unveiling away from completing a £72m (including add-on) move for Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.
The London club have successfully convinced the player to join them and have also struck a deal with his club, Bayer Leverkusen.
In fact, Chelsea are paying £20 million less than his valuation according to various reports.
While it was earlier reported by various outlets that the deal would cost Chelsea £92m which was broken down to £72m upfront payment and £20m as add-on.
The deal is actually a total package of £72m with Chelsea paying £62m upfront and then £10m as the add-on.
Kai Havertz is already in London finalising the deal as confirmed by Bayer Leverkusen and all that is left is an official announcement.
He was permitted to leave the Germany national team camp to complete his reported big money move.
