Rivers United finished the group stage games unbeaten at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium and will hope the atmosphere which saw them score 8-goals in three games comes alive vs Young Africans so they can take a healthy first-leg advantage to Tanzania for the return leg.

The aggregate winner over two-legs encounter will face either South Africa’s Marumo Gallants FC or the Pyramids FC of Egypt in the semi-final of this seasons CAF Confederation Cup.

RS Berkane of Morocco are current champions of the competition having defeated South Africa`s Orlando Pirates on penalties in the final game at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo in 2022.
