Russell Westbrook breaks Oscar Robertson’s 55-year triple double record
Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook has finally broken Oscar Robertson’s 55-year triplet double record.
Westbrook broke the record for most triple-doubles in a regular season with his 42nd in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 106-105 victory against the Denver Nuggets.
The six-time All-Star also nailed the buzzer-beating shot to lift the Thunder to victory.
With his 50 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists, Westbrook made history.
Already averaging a triple-double this regular season, the 28-year-old brought up his 79th career triple-double.
