Serie A Matchday 16 wrap: Milan stay top, Inter hammer Roma to keep up pace

First half goals from Franck Kessie and Alexis Saelemaekers gave Milan a 2-0 win against Salernitana in their Serie A Matchday 16 game played at San Siro on Saturday.

Simy was in action for Salernitana but Joel Chukwuma Obi was an unused sub.

Champions Inter Milan trashed Jose Mourinho’s Roma 3-0 at the Stade Olympico – Hakan Calhanoglu, Denzel Dumfries, Edin Dzeko scored the goals.

Napoli without injured Victor Osimhen suffered a 3-2 home loss to free-scoring Atalanta at Diego Maradona Stadium.

Ruslan Malinovsky opened the scoring for Atalanta with a great bender, Piotr Zielinski drew Napoli level. Dries Mertens gave the home side the lead but Remo Freuler and Merih Demiral goals condemned Napoli to a 3-2 home loss.
