Super Eagles goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka quits United
Super Eagles goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka has quit Kwara United FC after just a single season with the Illorin based outfit, SportsRation reports.
A 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League title winner with Akwa United FC, Adewale Adeyinka has left Kwara United with immediate effect following the expiration of his one-year contract.
The 24-year old joined United at the end of the 2021/2022 season, and arrived in red-hot form and international recognition with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Winner of the 2021 NPFL goalkeeper of the year award, Adewale Adeyinka is one of the biggest goalkeepers in Nigeria’s topflight and still holds record for most clean sheets in a season [16].
Going forward, Adeyinka is heavily linked to a move to Kano Pillars FC where Coach Abdul Maikaba is building a formidable squad ahead of their NPFL return this coming season.
Per Orange Football, Plateau United FC are also mentioned with interest for the goalkeeper while he could well join the East African train with admirers in the Ethiopian topflight.
