Ndidi records assist for Foxes in routine home win
Kelechi Iheanacho scored his third goal in as many games for Leicester City as they defeated Stoke City 2-0 in their Championship encounter at King Power Stadium.
High-flying Leicester City were up against Stoke City and were looking for a tenth win of the league season under manager Enzo Maresca. The Foxes came out of the dressing room firing from all cylinders and duly took the lead after just 24 minutes with their first shot of the game.
Portuguese right-back Ricardo Pereira found the run of Super Eagles striker Iheanacho, who fired a low shot perfectly from an acute angle to find the far corner. It was his third goal in three games and his fifth for the Foxes this season.
This season, the Foxes have been the most dominant side in the Championship, and they continued to control the play at home to Stoke City.
With 11 minutes left on the clock, veteran striker Jamie Vardy delivered the sucker-punch to seal the points for his side. The 36-year-old found the net following a fourth assist of the season for Wilfred Ndidi in midfield.
Leicester City sit atop the Championship standings with one of the best ever records from the first 11 matches in the division. They look destined for an immediate return to the Premier League after their blistering start to the season.
