Victor Boniface scored two incredible goals including a goal-of-the-season contender, Gift Orban also continued his goal-scoring run as at least 8 Nigerian footballers were involved during midweek European Club competition games.

1. Raphael Onyedika
: Benfica 5-1 (Agg 7-1) Club Brugge

Came in the second half just at the restart of the second 45 minutes but couldn’t help save his team from Benfica’s destruction and round-of-16 elimination.

After keeping the clean sheets during the group stages, Club Brugge shipped in more goals over two legs against Benfica than they conceded during 6 Group games.

2. Victor Boniface: Union Berlin 3-3 Union Saint-Gilloise

Victor Boniface scored a brace for Union Saint-Gilloise as they played out a 3-3 draw away to Union Berlin in their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 first leg. He is the Europa League joint-top scorer with five goals.

3. Anderson Esiti: Leverkusen 2-0 Ferencvaros

Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel was introduced in the second half for Fenerbache who lost 2-0 to Sevilla in Spain in a UEFA Europa League Round of 16 first-leg game.

5. Samuel Chukwueze: Anderlecht 1-1 Villarreal

Samuel Chukwueze was impressive for Villarreal who were forced to a 1-1 draw by the host in Belgium on Thursday in a UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16 first-leg game.

He provided the assist for Villarreal’s goal as he take his goal contribution for the Yellow Submarines this season to 22 (10 goals, 12 assists).

6. Gift Orban: Gent 1-1 Basaksehir

Gift Orban just can’t stop scoring. He scored the equalizer for Gent to make it another back-to-back goal for his Belgian side.

He scored the winner against Anderlecht over the weekend and now in the Europa Conference league first-leg game.

7. Ishaq Abdulrazak: Anderlecht  1-1 Villarreal

Ishaq Abdulrazak was an unused sub as his Belgian club forced Villarreal to a 1-1 draw in a UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16 first-leg game.

8. Terem Moffi: Sheriff Tiraspol 0-1 Nice

Terem Moffi was on the pitch the entire time as Nice secured an important 1-0 away win against Sheriff Tiraspol in a UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16 first-leg game.

9. Iyayi Believe Atiemwen: Sheriff Tiraspol 0-1 Nice

Iyayi Believe Atiemwen played for 55 minutes before he was taken out as his Sheriff Tiraspol lost 1-0 in a UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16 first-leg game.

10. Ahmed Musa: Firentina 1-0 Sivasspor

Ahmed Musa was an unused sub as his Turkish club Sivasspor suffered a 1-0 away defeat to Fiorentina in Italy in a UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16 first-leg game.
