Unstoppable Onuachu hits 30-goal mark in Belgian Jupiler League

Nigerian striker, Paul Onuachu scored his 30th goal in the Belgian Jupiler League as his side, KRC Genk defeated Royal Antwerp FC 3-2 in their Belgian Championship playoff group on Friday.

Onuachu scored in the 73rd minute of the encounter between goals by teammate, Theo Bongonda. The goal scored by Onuachu made him the first player in the Belgian league to reach 30 league goals in a single season since the beginning of the 21st century.

Onuachu, who now has 32 goals in all competitions for KRC Genk is also the first Nigerian player to reach 30 league goals in a single season in one of Europe’s Top 10 leagues.
