Veteran Nollywood actor backs Arsenal for Premier League glory

Veteran Nollywood actor Ejike Asiegbu has voiced his support for Arsenal, tipping them to clinch the English Premier League title ahead of Manchester City.

Under the stewardship of coach Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have been a contender for the league crown over the past two seasons.

However, last season saw their hopes dashed as Manchester City claimed the title due to the Gunners’ faltering form towards the end of the campaign.

This season, Arsenal have shown significant improvement, mounting a strong challenge for the title with just two games remaining.

Currently, the Gunners trail City by two points after the Citizens defeated Fulham FC 0-4 on Saturday ahead of their visit to Old Trafford.

However, the Cityzens possess the advantage of an additional game, which could see them surpass Arsenal in the standings if they secure victory in all their remaining fixtures.

Speaking on his passion for football, Ejike Asiegbu, a stalwart of the Nollywood industry since the 90s, revealed his fondness for Arsenal in a recent interview with Punch.

Expressing optimism for Arsenal’s chances, Asiegbu pointed out that the team’s impressive performance throughout the season, highlighting their attacking prowess and defensive solidity.

“In the Premier League, I love Arsenal. And I hope they eventually win the title this season,” remarked Asiegbu. “They have been very impressive, and I hope they beat Manchester City to the title because it’s been 20 years since we last won the league.”

As the season draws to a close, both Arsenal and Manchester City face challenging fixtures in their final matches. Manchester City is set to encounter Tottenham and West Ham, while Arsenal is scheduled to face Manchester United and Everton.

As Arsenal aims to secure their first league title in two decades, the backing of passionate supporters like Ejike Asiegbu adds to the fervor surrounding the team’s pursuit of Premier League glory.
