VIDEO: Umar Sadiq scores and assists as Almería beat Fuenlabrada to go top
Umar Sadiq contributed two goals after scoring and assisting a goal in UD Almería 3-1 win against Fuenlabrada in a LaLiga Smartbank game on Friday.
The Nigerian striker was actually involved in all three goals as Almeria ran out a 3-1 win against visiting Fuenlabrada to go top in the Spanish second division league.
Umar Sadiq showed that he has more to offer the Super Eagles than just being a target man after his scintillating cross found Arnau Puigmal for Almeria’s first goal of the game.
Mohamed Bouldini, tapped in from close range to draw Fuenlabrada level in the 36th minute of the game, five minutes after Almeria took the lead.
In the 65th minute of the game, Arnau Puigmal returned a favour to Sadiq Umar when his cross from a freekick found the Nigerian who headed home to restore Almeria’s lead.
Again, from the flank just as he did in the first goal, Sadiq Umar, combined with Arnau Puigmal to set up Almeria’s third goal which was scored by Dyego Sousa in the 77th minute of the game,

Umar Sadiq has now scored five goals and assisted one in his last four games for Almeria. He has a total of 13 league goals this season in 24 games.
La Liga chasing Almeria are now on top of division two log with two points ahead of second-place Eibar who will play this weekend.
