#WAFCON2022 semi-finals confirmed: Nigeria to play hosts Morocco

The Super Falcons of Nigeria will now play hosts Atlas Lionesses of Morocco in the semifinal of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Super Falcons defeated the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon 1-0 in the quarterfinal to book a place in the last four against the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco who themselves beat Botswana 2-1 in the last eight.

Nigeria have now kept three clean sheets (2-0 against Botswana, 4-0 against Burundi and 1-0 against Cameroon) to book a place in the semis.

Hosts, Morocco, have also won all their four games (1-0 against Burkina Faso, 3-1 against Uganda, 1-0 against Senegal and 2-1 against Botswana in the last eight.

The other semifinal will see the Banyana Banyana of South Africa take on The Shepolopolo of Zambia.

Both semifinal fixtures will be played on Monday 18th at 7 pm.
