Warri Wolves Crowned 2024/25 Nigeria National League Champions

Warri Wolves have been crowned champions of the 2024/25 Nigeria National League (NNL) season after a thrilling 3-2 win over Wikki Tourists in the final of the Super 8 playoffs.
The match took place on Saturday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, with the Seasiders showing dominance early on before surviving a strong comeback from their opponents.
Napoleon Aloma’s side took a commanding 3-0 lead within the first 25 minutes of the match.
Yusuf Abdullateef opened the scoring in the 7th minute and then turned provider, assisting Igbunu Evwierhurhoma for the second goal just nine minutes later.
Joshua Shemaye made it 3-0 for Warri Wolves in the 25th minute, putting the team in full control.
However, Wikki Tourists refused to give up.
Mamuda Aliyu pulled one back in the 35th minute, and Wonderson Yakubu added a second goal for the Bauchi side in the 59th minute, setting up a tense finish.

Despite the pressure, Warri Wolves held on to secure the title in addition to their promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
It’s a memorable triumph for the club, who will now turn their focus to preparing for life in Nigeria’s top flight.
