Warriors defeat Clippers, LeBron and Cavs win

The Golden State Warriors were too good for the Los Angeles Clippers, while reigning NBA champions the Cleveland Cavaliers crushed the New York Knicks.

Draymond Green, Kevin Durant, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson all starred as the Warriors upstaged the Clippers 115-98 in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

LeBron James enjoyed another successful outing to New York after the Cavaliers accounted for the Knicks 126-94.

The Atlanta Hawks recorded an overdue win by trumping the Miami Heat 103-95, while the Houston Rockets humbled the Los Angeles Lakers 134-95.

WARRIORS ROLL ON

It was another day and another win for the Warriors, this time getting the better of Western Conference rivals the Clippers.

Thompson top-scored with 24 points, Green added 22, reigning MVP Curry had 19 and seven steals, while Durant contributed 16.

The win helped the Warriors improve to 19-3 overall as the Clippers dropped back-to-back games on home court.

LEBRON REIGNS SUPREME IN NEW YORK

So much for that highly anticipated matchup between James and Carmelo Anthony. It was not much of a contest.

Anthony took just eight shots and finished with nine points, while James scored an efficient 25 points as his Cavaliers cruised to victory at Madison Square Garden.

James was seven-of-10 from the floor to continue his torrid streak in New York. James averages better than 28 points per game in road games against the Knicks. With the game a blowout, the Cavs star spent the latter half of the fourth quarter on the bench doing the water bottle flip challenge with Kyrie Irving.

Irving was four-of-six from behind the three-point arc and scored a game-high 28 points.

HAWKS GIVE FANS SOMETHING TO CHEER ABOUT

Finally, after seven wins on the bounce, the Hawks are back to winning ways.

Big man Dwight Howard inspired the turnaround, posting 23 points and 17 rebounds in a double-double display. He was assisted by Paul Millsap’s 21 points.

GORDON STARS FROM BEYOND THE ARC

The Houston Rockets eased past the Lakers and Eric Gordon led the way.

Gordon had a career-high eight three-pointers on his way to 26 points.

James Harden contributed 25 points as the Rockets extended their winning streak to four games.

ANTETOKOUNMPO INSPIRES BUCKS

The Milwaukee Bucks used a triple-double from Giannis Antetokounmpo to carry them to a 115-107 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Antetokounmpo scored 15 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists for the seventh triple-double of his four-year career.

Andrew Drummond starred but the Detroit Pistons lost 87-77 to the Charlotte Hornets, the Boston Celtics were 117-87 winners over the Orlando Magic, the Brooklyn Nets defeated the Denver Nuggets 116-111, the Sacramento Kings downed the Dallas Mavericks 120-89 and the Phoenix Suns lost 109-94 to the Indiana Pacers.

SAN ANTONIO OUT TO PRESERVE PERFECT AWAY RECORD

The San Antonio Spurs are 13-0 away from home this season as they prepare to face the Chicago Bulls on Thursday. The Warriors are back in action, against the Utah Jazz, while the Toronto Raptors host the Minnesota Timberwolves.
