Barcelona games against Liverpool and Manchester United bigger than ‘El Clásico’ in 2019
The clash between Barcelona and Real Madrid is one of the biggest games in the world.
The tie between both firece Spanish rivals, popular called ‘El Clásico’ is one that football lovers all over the world look up to.
Despite attracting a crowd of 93,265 when the two sides locked horns at Camp Nou in Barcelona 5-1 win against Real Madrid in November last year; the number still fell short of what was recorded when Manchester United and Liverpool came visiting this year.
The Uefa Champions League quarterfinal clash between Barcelona and Manchester United with record attendance of 96,708 attracted the biggest crowd until Liverpool came visiting for the semifinal.
The Wednesday semifinal clash between Barcelona and Liverpool attracted a season high of 98,299 spectators when Lionel Messi did the spectacular in the Catalan giants easy 3-0 win.
In fact, the 98,299 is third highest crowd that Camp Nou has received in its history only behind games with Real Madrid in 2015/16 and 2014/15 seasons when 99,264 and 98,76O respectively attended the games.
