Fernandes, Ighalo maintain their records in Manchester United FA Cup win at Norwich
Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo have maintained their records in Reds shirt after helping Manchester United to a 2-1 quarterfinal win against Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Fernandes and Ighalo who were former teammates at Udinese, reunited at Old Trafford were both in action for 120 minutes as Manchester United beat 10-man Norwich to book a place in the FA Cup semifinal.
Odion Ighalo powered home United’s first goal in the 51st minute but Todd Cantwell restored parity for the home team in the 75th minute.
Norwich City were then reduced to 10-man when Timm Klose was sent out in the 89th minute.
With two minutes left in the extra time, Harry Maguire forced in the ball to push United into the last four.
The win meant Bruno Fernandes remains unbeaten in United’s shirt after wins in 8 games and 4 draws.
