Wilson Oruma: Thank you for the love, I am healthy and sound
Former Nigeria International Wilson Oruma has released a video to refute stories he was sick and bedridden. In the video on Tuesday May 2, 2023 the midfielder said he was healthy and sound.
His international teammate Christian Obodo was the first to refute the viral pictures showing Oruma on a sick bed and now the midfielder in a live video has put to bed those worrying concerns.
Oruma said “What’s up, my people, Much love. Thank you for everything — every support you have been giving to me,”
“Thank you for the love you are showing to my family. We are healthy and sound. Thank you so much. I never knew people love so much like that. I appreciate and celebrate you all. Thank you so much.
“But as you can see, I am well and healthy. I’m good and look so cute. Today is the second of May and I made this video today just to tell everyone that I am good and I have so much love for them. And I appreciate them so much.” he concluded.
Born on December 30, 1978 in Warri, Nigeria, Wilson Oruma hit limelight when he captained Nigeria to the 1993 U-17 FIFA World Cup title, finishing as top scorer at the tournament in Japan.
The 46-year old was also part of the Nigeria`s gold medal winning squad at the football event of the Atlanta ’96 Olympic games.
Oruma retired from active football in 2010 after a career that saw him represent clubs in Nigeria, France, Turkey and Greece.
