Cristiano Ronaldo breaks Saudi Arabia goals record as Al Nassr beat Al Ittihad
Al Nassr SC forward, Cristiano Ronaldo broke the record for the most goals scored in a Saudi Arabia Pro League season on Monday, May 27, 2024.
The 39-year-old Portuguese superstar, scored a brace in his side’s 4-2 win over Al Ittihad on the final matchday to bring his league tally this season to 35 goals.
The old record was held by former Al Nassr striker and Moroccan international Abderrazak Hamdallah, who scored 34 goals in the 2018/2019 season.
Despite not winning the Saudi Arabia Pro League title with Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo ended the season on a high note, after claiming the top-scorer award.
Also, the former Real Madrid man weighed in 11 assists for his team.
Additionally, Cristiano Ronaldo has now become the first player to win the top-scorer award in four different leagues.
His glittering career which includes spells at Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus and Al Nassr since January 2023, will continue in 2024/2025, as he shows no sign he will hang up soon.
