Dakkada FC and Beyond Limits Share Points to End NNL Season
Dakkada FC and Beyond Limits Football Academy played out a 2-2 draw in their final game of the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) season at the Uyo Township Stadium.
Both clubs are well-known in the NNL, having won the league in the past, but this season did not go as planned for either side.
The visitors, Beyond Limits, started the match on Sunday, June 15, 2025, brightly. They took the lead early when Daniel Ariehi scored past Dakkada goalkeeper Edidiong Usoro, after receiving a fine pass from Rawa Mohammed.
Dakkada responded with determination. They earned a penalty, which midfielder Bassey Bassey converted to make it 1-1.
The first half continued with both sides showing good moments, but it was Beyond Limits who struck again before the break. Merveille Akinocho scored a stunning overhead kick to put the visitors ahead 2-1 at half-time.
Knowing they needed at least a draw to secure their NNL status for next season, Dakkada came out with great energy in the second half. Their pressure paid off when substitute Anietie Uko scored another penalty to level the match at 2-2.
Both teams had chances to win the game late on, but poor finishing and strong saves from both goalkeepers meant the points were shared.
With the regular season now complete, the following teams have qualified for the NNL Super 8 playoffs: Crown FC, Warri Wolves, Kun Khalifat FC, Osun United, Wikki Tourists, Yobe Desert Stars, Doma United, and Barau United. They will now fight for four promotion spots to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and the NNL title.
