D’Tigress head coach Rene Wakama optimistic ahead of Paris 2024 Olympic games
The head coach of D’Tigress, Rene Wakama, has expressed confidence in his team’s readiness and high spirits ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The African champions recently began their preparation with a closed training camp in Saarbrücken, Germany. Wakama was thrilled with the players’ commitment and dedication during the initial phase of training.
“Things have been going well in the camp over the past few days. We’ve had great practice sessions, and the girls are in high spirits,” Wakama told NBBF media. “The girls are responding well to training and improving every day, which is encouraging.”
Wakama is optimistic about the team’s potential and looks forward to seeing them perform on the Olympic stage. “I am confident the girls will be able to display their talents when we get to Paris. I’m excited and looking forward to the games,” he added.
D’Tigress is set to face tough competition in their group, which includes Canada, France, and the United States. However, with their current form and positive mindset, the team is poised to make a strong impression at the Olympics.
