‘Gives Us Confidence to Keep Pushing’: Akwa United Hail Ibom Air

Akwa United have expressed confidence in their partnership with award-winning airline Ibom Air as the club intensifies preparations for the 2026/2027 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The Promise Keepers shared the message on their social media pages on Monday, October 26, 2026, alongside training pictures featuring some of the players, including youngster James Peter wearing a bib branded with the Ibom Air logo.
“We know the road ahead will demand a lot from us, but having Ibom Air ✈️ on board gives us confidence to keep pushing!” the club wrote.

The message highlights the club’s confidence in the partnership as they prepare for another attempt to secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Akwa United signed a two-year partnership deal with Ibom Air in October 2025, with the airline supporting the club as it seeks to return to the top flight.

The team has been in closed camping in Eket since Monday, October 19, 2026, as Head Coach Paul Offor and his technical crew work on their tactics, fitness and team preparation ahead of the new campaign.
The ten-day camping exercise is expected to help the players build the understanding and discipline needed for the challenges of the new season.
Akwa United narrowly missed promotion to the NPFL last season, finishing one point short of their target. The club is now determined to make a stronger push for promotion in the 2026/2027 campaign.
The Promise Keepers will begin their new NNL season against Ekiti United on November 8, 2026, at the Uyo Township Stadium.
