‘I don’t know what tomorrow brings’ – Bendel Insurance goalkeeper Amas Obasogie confirms transfer rumours
Bendel Insurance goalkeeper, Amas Obasogie, has confirmed that he is attracting interest from other clubs during the ongoing NPFL transfer window.
In an interview on the WhatsApp group ‘Naija Footballers Forum,’ Obasogie discussed his career and his future prospects.
“In every rumour, there is an element of truth. Rivers United have shown interest in me, and it’s a great privilege,” Obasogie said.
“Bendel Insurance has been my boyhood club, providing me with the platform to show my talent. I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but I am still with Bendel Insurance now.”
Obasogie had an impressive season, ending as the league’s best goalkeeper with 18 clean sheets for the Benin Arsenal.
Rivers United new manager, Finidi George was part of the Super Eagles technical crew that handed Obasogie his maiden full-international call-up in 2023.
If he moves to Port-Harcourt, he will be a direct replacement for Sochima Victor who weeks ago announced he will leave the former Nigerian champions.
