Kelechi Iheanacho scored the second goal as Leicester City FC defeated Preston to reclaim English Championship top-spot .
Goals from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall either side of a Kelechi Iheanacho strike clinched a 3-0 win at the King Power Stadium, Vs fellow promotion chasers, Preston FC on Wednesday, October 4.
Leicester City have now won nine of ten English Championship games to move above Ipswich, who temporarily went top on Tuesday after beating Hull City.
In the match, Leicester dominated early possession while Preston FC were comfortable defending and waiting to break on the counter.
Preston fancied their chances from set-pieces but Jack Whatmough, one of four changes following Saturday’s 4-0 loss at home to West Brom, saw his header from Robbie Brady’s free-kick drop well wide in a drab first half.
Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi headed an early second chance wide of the Preston goal before Dewsbury-Hall fired a curling at Preston goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.
On the hour mark, Leicester broke the deadlock when Dewsbury-Hall seized opportunity from a defensive gaffe fo score past Preston Goalkeeper, Woodman.
Kelechi Iheanacho then scored the second for Leicester City FC in the 67th minute before Dewsbury- Hall made it safe , 3-0 in favour of the Foxes
