Nigerians Abroad: Simy, Awoniyi, Osimhen, & Aminu Umar on target, Henry, Moses win in Turkey

It was a great night for Nigeria players plying their trades abroad as quite a number of the were on target in games player across Europe on Saturday.

Simeon Nwankwo (Simy)

Simeon Nwankwo was on target for Crotone in their 3-0 win against Ascoli in a Serie B match on Saturday.

It was Simy’s 14th league goal in 33 league games in second tier league in Italy.

Taiwo Awoniyi (Royal Excel Mouscron)

Taiwo Awoniyi was again on target for Mouscron, it was his second goal in succession having failed to score in his last four games before his strike last week.

Awoniyi scored his side’s first goal in the 3-3 draw against St. Gilloise in a Belgian UEFA Europa League playoffs game.

The goal was the Liverpool loanee 9th in 14th league games.

Victor Osimhen (Sporting Charleroi)

Milan target, Victor Osimhen continued his blistering form with another goal to consolidate Charleroi place at the top in the Belgian Europa League playoffs spot.

Victor Osimhen scored the 2nd goal as Sporting Charleroi trashed Beerschot-Wilrijk away from home on Saturday.

The goal is Osimhen’s 16th league goal.

Aminu Umar, Chidozie Awaziem, Azuubuike Okechukwu (Rizespor)

Aminu Umar was on target in Rizespor 3-2 loss to Henry Onyekuru Galatasaray.

The goal was Aminu Umar’s 6th in 29 league games.

Aminu Umar, Chidozie Awaziem and Azuubuike Okechukwu were all starters for Rizespor while Henry Onyekuru was also in action for table-topping Gala.

Victor Moses (Fenerbache)

Retired Eagles forward Victor Moses was in action as Fenerbache secured an important 2-1 win against Akhisarspor on Saturday.
