Onome Ebi links up with Rita Chikwelu at Las Planas

Super Falcons captain, Onome Ebi, has linked up with her compatriot, Rita Chikwelu at Spanish top-flight outfit Las Planas.

The 39-year-old became just another Nigerian player to move this summer to the Spanish women’s top-flight club after striker Gift Monday who joined Tenerife.

Onome Ebi announced the move via her Twitter handle on Thursday.

Onome Ebi will link up with her long-term teammate Rita Chikwelu at Las Planas, she will also see plenty of familiar faces in the league.

Spanish La Liga Femino is the home to Super Falcons players such as Asisat Oshoala, Rasheedat Ajibade, Osinachi Ohale, Toni Payne, and Gift Monday.

Onome Ebi who was not invited for the Super Falcons’ friendly against Japan on October 6th in Kobe is still recovering from injury.

She will definitely be hoping to get game time for her new club in her bid to continue her Super Falcons career.
