Asisat Oshoala has returned to training with Barcelona Femini after injuring her knees 56 days ago.
The five-time African women footballer of the year suffered an injury to her knee on July 5th during a WAFCOn game between the Super Falcons of Nigeria and the Banyana Banyana of South Africa.
But the former Arsenal, and Liverpool forward has now put the injury which kept her out of the 2022 WAFCON behind her as she trained with her clubmates.
Asisat Oshoala was amongst the Barcelona players as they trained at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
The team is scheduled to work the rest of the mornings in Sant Joan Despí, until Friday as they prepare for the new season.
Asisat Oshoala and Barcelona will start their title defense with a trip to city rivals FC Levante Las Planas on Sunday, September 11 (6 p.m.) at the Llevant Las Planas field.
Oshoala finished last season as the Primera division top scorer and was shortlisted for this year’s UEFA best player of the year.
She will definitely be going for the top scorer’s gong again and going a step further by winning the UEFA best player of the year.
