Rafael Everton cites unprofessional behaviours from FCIfeanyiubah’s management as the reason for his resignation

Rafael Everton, the Brazillian tactician that led FC IfeanyiUbah to their first major trophy has resigned for the second time, citing unprofessional behaviour from FC IfeanyiUbah management as the reason for his resignation.

Rafael Everton resigned from Anambra Warriors earlier this year when he was demoted at the beginning of the season but after renegotiation with the management he stayed on his new role as the assistant to Yaw Preko and Feeders team head coach.

The Brazilian revealed this time he is done with the Nnewi based club for good and he is open to joining other clubs as he loves Nigeria and would love to remain in the country.

“I left Ifeanyi Ubah because I wasn’t happy, I resigned because a lot of problems forced me out of the club,” Everton told Goal.

“I would like to appreciate all my fans, friends, family members who have always shown me love and support. Unfortunately, I have to leave IfeanyiUbah. I will always thank them for the opportunity to work in Nigeria.

“I was denied expression, I can’t really work the way I would have loved to because the environment doesn’t in any way support that. There’s a huge external influence.

“Instructions on players selection is forced on the coach and this for me isn’t professional. I resigned because I don’t like this at all. The current style at IfeanyiUbah is unprofessional.

He adds: “I like Nigeria too much, Nigeria is my second home. I love Nigeria, it’s my second love and I missed the people, culture, food and a lot of things about this hugely blessed country.

“I think I may be back in Nigeria very soon with another club because as I speak to you, I have resigned at IfeanyiUbah and I am free to join other clubs that shows interest.

“I want to make history again in Nigeria, I love football and I will gladly be back with another club soon,” he concluded.

The 2015-16 Federation Cup winner have endured a terrible start to the new season, they were kicked out of the CAF Confederations Cup and struggling in the League week in week out.
