Real Madrid face MORE problems after heavy El Classico loss to Barcelona
Real Madrid were torn apart by rivals Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu in Saturday’s El Clasico. Adding to their woes, defenders Antonio Rudiger and Lucas Vazquez both ended the game with injury concerns.
According to Marca, Rudiger’s situation is more serious, with the German centre-back dealing with muscle issues, while Vazquez experienced discomfort. Both players are set to undergo medical tests soon to assess their conditions.
Madrid’s injury crisis is deepening. David Alaba is sidelined with a torn ACL, Dani Carvajal is out with a similar problem, Rodrygo is nursing a hamstring injury, and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois remains out due to an adductor issue. Losing Rudiger and Vazquez would only make things harder for Los Blancos.
Since joining Madrid from Chelsea in 2022, Rudiger has made 116 appearances, scoring six goals and helping the club win major trophies, including La Liga, the Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Real Madrid face a busy schedule, playing Valencia, AC Milan, and Osasuna between November 2 and 9. The club hopes their injured players will recover quickly ahead of these crucial fixtures before the international break begins.
