Sad News!!! NRA confirm death of NPFL Referee Kingsley Nnaemeka in fatal accident on his way back from Matchday five game
The Nigeria Football community has been thrown into mourning following the death of Nigeria Professional Football League Referee Kingsley Nnaemeka in a fatal accident on Thursday February 2nd.
The Abia State born NPFL Referee was involved in a fatal motor accident on his way back from a NPFL Matchday five fixture in Kaduna on Wednesday February 1, 2023.
Confirming news of Kingsley Nnaemeka Eneogwe’s demise, the leadership of the Nigeria Referees Association – NRA in a statement on Friday February 3, 2023 expressed grief over the sad news and confirmed contact has been made with the deceased family.
The NRA message read “With heart filled in sadness, the NRA has received the news of the death of a premier league referee of the Abia State council, Kingsley Nnaemeka Eneogwe who died in a fatal motor accident yesterday (Thursday) on his way back home on Abuja Kogi Enugu road after handling a premier league match in Kaduna.
” Until his death he was a medical doctor. The NRA leadership has established contact with the family and council over the matter after sending condolences. The association is not only in touch but also working with the family on the next step. May his soul rest in peace. ”
