Salma Paralluelo leaves Barcelona after Four Years

Salma Paralluelo has officially left Barcelona, bringing an end to a hugely successful four-year year with the club.

Barcelona confirmed that the Spain international will leave when her contract expires on June 30, closing a chapter that saw her become one of the most exciting players in women’s football.

During her time at the club, Paralluelo helped Barcelona win 15 trophies, including three UEFA Women’s Champions League titles, four Liga F titles, three Copa de la Reina trophies, four Spanish Super Cups and one Copa Catalunya.

She also leaves with an impressive individual record, scoring 72 goals in 131 appearances after joining from Villarreal in 2022.

In a statement announcing her departure, Barcelona thanked the forward for her contribution over the past four seasons.

“The Club would like to thank Salma Paralluelo for her commitment, dedication and contribution during these four seasons wearing the Blaugrana shirt. We wish her the very best in this new stage of her career.”

Barcelona also reflected on how much Paralluelo developed during her time at the club.

“She arrived at Barça at just 18 years old… and became one of the most complete players in the world.”

One of the defining moments of her Barcelona career was in the UEFA Women’s Champions League final in Oslo, where she scored twice against Lyon to help secure another European title. Those goals are now the final two she scored in a Barcelona shirt.

Paralluelo now becomes one of the biggest names available on the free-agent market, with several top European clubs expected to monitor her situation closely.
